Title: "Error 403: Forbidden" and "Checking for new updates"

One of my friends played last moon. Though, this screen appeared according to them.

Keep in mind that this was in June, before the Onslaught update I think.

Now, after the update, THIS screen appeared.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Could perhaps reading through the text of the first picture help? I'm honestly desperate to help them. This has been going on for months, though im not sure if it's fixed by now.

Have they missed a part on the download, like have they got Direct X and Microsoft back up?

Go into their last moon folder

Find the version.txt file

Open it

Change whatever number is there to a 0

Exit and save changes

Run Last Moon exe

they said they couldn't find the version.txt file. any other options?

now i got what they meant; just a misconception(??) their version file says "0" according to them and they actually somewhat weren't lacking the file??? (sorry its just confusing)

Tell your friend to check their firewall settings and then disable the block on anything related to Last Moon
