So, I'm new to this game today and have had it crash twice and when i got in and tried to move around, I couldn't. I was trying to run forward and it looked like my character was running into a invisible wall repeatedly. I have to run sideways to move anywhere and that is still glitchy. I don't know if it is the rendering system i have to use or what, but i really really want to play this game. It looks really fun and i can't play it if i can't move in any normal fashion. Help please!!!!

You're just experiencing what I call the "new character glitch". Just restart the game and you should be a-okay.
