Title: does the game contain any viruses..?
Post by: Tabris on October 05, 2020, 11:02:57 PM
hello everyone!

the day i signed up i ofc tried to play the game, however, its been giving me issues unrelated to anything i have found in the glitches/help sections when downloading. i did eventually get into the game, but ever since it successfully installed, i've had constant bluescreen errors. im gonna say it was around... june/july??

i've been ruling out many applications and uninstalled lots of apps [including LM  :-[ ] but as a paranoid dumb baby i feel like it'd be safe to ask if anyone else has had issues...?? maybe something could have sneaked in when downloading??

the BSoD error i usually get is "CRITICAL PROCESS DIED," in which before my taskbar would freeze up and im unable to click anything. if it helps, i use a windows 10 pc that is currently up to date.

thank you for reading my ramble ;w; !

Hey there!
Last Moon doesn't contain any viruses and the download files haven't been touched in years so I don't think ya need to worry in that regard!

These errors usually have to do with core data from your pc itself being somehow modified so I highly suggest trying to run a scan (SFC) if you haven't already.
Do you recall if you had a Windows update around that time? Unfortunately I've found quite a few people have had this problem with Windows 10 updates lately. You can also try to boot your PC on safe mode to help make it easier to navigate when trying to solve the issue.

I recommend looking over the windows websites for more solutions since that's a bit out of my reach!

If you're looking for a malware remover I'd give ADWCleaner a go. It's a part of Malwarebytes now
