So, I've had this idea in my head for a while now. I'm aware it may but hopefully not cause some dire opinions to be forcefully heard regarding the topic(s). Let me further say that these are my opinions. While some may agree, others may not, and that's fine. That's what personal opinions are all about. I hope we can all be mature here and I do not want to hear aggressive, insulting, or otherwise hateful comments toward anyone! Constructive criticism is highly recommended, though. This is the Discussions and Suggestions board, after all!  ;D

I know that's a horrible topic title choice, but I couldn't think of a better word. I'm talking about the freedom to create maps, presets, and even things like emotes to share with friends and the community. I was, when first coming here from FH, horrified that I couldn't bring my presets and maps over, or at least re-do them. And not only that; there simply was no reason for me to re-do my maps because they wouldn't even be allowed, and very limited preset options. Those were two of my biggest issues here, and I still stand by the idea that private or at least user-made maps should be allowed in game. Perhaps a miniature portal island specifically for yours/your friends maps. And if private maps are still a no? Then at least the option to offer up your maps in the forums to be reviewed by an admin/mod, and perhaps added in a future update (I'm talking about AFTER the big update, or for it, of course). Hold contests, like, November's contest would be who could create the best snow-themed map or something like that. Why should we have to be a mod to be able to add a few maps/etc to the game for the community?

I'm really hoping for donator packs for presets as well. And, hey, on the note of contests, why not hold some before the big update? You may never know; given the UV for the new models when they're done, I could pop out some cool markings to add to the game, and I know a lot of others who could as well! Or skies, or maps, or emotes, or textures, or whatever! Give the option to let this be more of a sandbox game without having to become a game mod.

Already being worked on. There is a way to create and put local presets on your own or your friends characters now, the server side presets that everyone will see is probably going to be a donation thing.

Private maps will also be allowed, I'm going to try and document and write some guides for it.

That sounds fantastic, I am utterly excited for this update :)
One question, will the way of making maps be the same as with IT servers/the way it is now for LM? Meaning, if I started making a map today for the update, would it be pointless? XD

It'll be roughly the same, IT maps will be fairly easily moved over. There will be an easier way of placing objects.

Yes yes yes this all sounds amazing. :D. I would love more sandbox based freedoms. :)
