Possible improvement for pets.
« on: November 17, 2017, 06:38:17 AM »
I've been thinking of a few ideas to implement in the "attack system" of our pets (among others) and I decided to share them with you all.

  • "Command your pet to attack the current target" option. This option basically consists on making your pet attack the animal that you're currently targetting during a combat to make it easier to kill since you and your pet are unable to attack at the same time (or at least in my case).
  • This one is ridiculous but could be fun. Animals riding animals. I'm 100% sure that all of us have thought about this at least once and joked about it with your friends. But, wouldn't riding a T-Rex or an Imperial Dragon be cool? An option to mount and dismount from your pet.
  • And last but NOT least, An option to add items to your pet. Either from animal drops or from the Bazaar.
And that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed some of my ideas, you can also add! Ciao.

Adding Items to your pet? Good Idea but....it could lag the game.
The other ideas might also be hard for the developers etc to put in game.  Especially the "Riding Your Pets" idea. It would make it such a hassle to do all that with your pet.
Also I would like to point out your pet does attack the target you attack.
Good Ideas though.~ I really like them!~

Well Orchie, in my case, my pet is able to attack the animal at the same time as me but it doesn't harm it unless i'm near the target and not attacking.
I didn't really think about the items lagging the game, but it's still a creative idea and would be amazing. :P I am also aware of the time it'd take. (;

I do agree, but idea with ridding animals is quite good. Hope this isnt that hard to make it ingame in next update.

1) Your pet will attack your current target too if it can attack. It could be that you have a pet who does not attack. Often praise pets (as well as some non-praiseable pets) do not attack your target.
2) You can already pretty much "mount" your pet, by just jumping on top of it
3) Like what OrchidFlower said, additional items on your pets would indeed lag the server further. Besides, that would mean we would have to position items for each seperate pet, because they all have different skeletons if i recall correctly. This looks good on paper, but is a nightmare to implement
