Sorry for asking yet another question...
About 50% of the time, I can't jump as high as usual. My jumps consist of me hopping one inch off the ground at most. My double jump does not help. This is inconsistent with levels; I can sometimes jump high in Portal Island, for example, but I sometimes cannot. Usually, going from level to level does not fix it, but when it does, I usually don't have the problem again until I quit.
What should I do?

Physics is based on your framerate and if you have a good computer and getting high FPS the physics will work too fast. You can enable VSync in the start menu to lock your framerate.

Yes! That worked. That would also explain why I could always jump well in Default. It takes significantly longer to parse scripts in the beginning, but that's just a minor inconvenience.
It's quite ironic that the game has more problems on better computers...but that's not the game's fault, I think.
Thank you so much for your help! I am jumping with joy.

The game doesn't have a proper physics engine and whoever wrote the gravity simulation didn't take high framerates into consideration. Maybe I'll get around to doing something about it some day.
