After a lot of struggle to get Lat Moon to work, I'm now experiencing problems where the character gets stuck in nothing every 5 centimeters. This happens everywhere. Even if the ground is flat and there are no obstacles. Jumping is affected by this too. To me it seems like when moving in certain directions are more likely to cause this problem. Moving in some directions are less likely in other hand. This is making the game nearly unplayable for me. What can I do to fix this?

It's actually just a new character glitch. After a few restarts it should be fixed or playing on another character.

The getting stuck is due to the new character glitch, like Lyric said. It can also be solved by resizing your character.
The jumping problem could either also be because of this, or be because of a frame rate sync problem, as Myz mentioned in another thread:
Jumping is tied to your framerate, you can enable vsync in the startup options to make jumping more reliable.
