Title: .dll missing
Post by: OrigamiTale on January 14, 2016, 12:33:59 AM: I'm not sure what a .dll is but when I open LastMoon it finishes the black box rather quickly then says a .dll is missing and gives me an ogre exception. Help me!

Okay so I fixed the .dll problem BUT I am still getting an ogre exception that is stopping the game from getting past the black box of loadiness. (I downloaded the alternative link to fix the .dll problem)

You can either try and reinstall, or try running the OpenGL Rendering system instead.
You can change the rendering system on start up, after the blackbox disapears.

It won't even pop up the start up screen to let me select the render system.

I can only think of either deleting the version.txt, and if that doesn't work reinstalling the game, and if that's not enough I'm not sure what else.
It could be just because Windows XP is so outdated that it can't properly run programs anymore, but I thought people with XP could run LM so I'm not certain.

Post by: OrigamiTale on January 14, 2016, 07:43:28 PM: Forcing an update did...Something. It added more files than when I installed. Something MUST be wrong if I had to force an update to get my files, I'm reinstalling to see if that helps again.

Post by: Dutchval on January 14, 2016, 07:45:37 PM: Did you at least try to run the game after you forced an update? It's not uncommon for the updater to accidentally skip over files. It's happened many times before. Regardless, after you install it again, if another error comes up first try and delete your version.txt.
