So, I've actually restored one of my old computers and decided to try and begin playing last moon once again. ( Unfortunately, after forgetting my username and password, I had to make a newer account. )
Anyway, that's not entirely the issue.
First. Let's address the errors I do get when I try to load the game, and then some other errors that might be relevant to it.
I get two errors when I load up the game ( Unsurprisingly )
Game.exe - System Error
----------------------------
The program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer, try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
( Yes, I did try to reinstall Last moon, this didn't seem to work. )
and then the second error that follows after closing the first
An Exception has occurred!
----------------------------
OGRE EXCEPTION(7:InternalErrorException): Could not load dynamic library .\RenderSystem_Direct3D9. System Error:The specified module could not be found.
in DynLib::Load at
C:\kito\git\sources\dependencies\ogre_src_v1-7-4\OgreMain\src\OgreDynLi.cpp (line 91)
(That wasn't copied and pasted so there might be some errors in that ^ I double checked though )
Anyway, onto the third error that may be relevant
I tried installing Mircosoft Visual C++ Redistributable but it shows up as an error, mentioning that I had a newer version of it already installed.
So, if there's any sort of idea to help fix this problem, I'd appreciate it. :)

Hun try going to your LM files(right click on LM) Then go to file locations and delete version.txt

Deleting the version.txt in the last moon file didn't seem to work, the same two errors popped up when I tried to open LM again.

Use the OpenGL rendering system instead of DirectX when the grey box pops up
