Title: HELP! Game is stuck at "Checking for new updates" screen and REFUSES to start!

I ended up redownloading LM after not playing it for a good two years, but now the game refuses to start whatsoever! I can't even get to the login/character create screen at all - instead I'm stuck at the "checking for updates" black startup screen before it closes itself.

P.S. - I've already tried uninstalling and redownloading but nothing changes.

Help!

I'm having a similar problem too, my game is stuck on "connecting..."
