Alright, Here we go. Try re-downloading your game (Make sure to disable your firewall if you have one) and if that does not work, come back to me. As for your updating problem you said before and the missing files, delete version.tex and update.tex in your LM folder; thus letting it recover any missing files and to update properly.

(I Recommend deleting the files first before you re-download. Make sure you run the game again after you delete them)

Alright, Firewalls were never there in the first place. Yet the deletion of files sounds like the most logical answer. Can you tell how to opened the Last Moon without trying to install it?

Yes I Can.

Go to your "Last Moon" game icon on your desktop or wherever you saved it. Then right click it and hit "Open File Location" after that opens up, Stay right in that spot and then you should see 2 files named:
"Update" and "Version"
Both Text Documents, Right click Update and hit "Delete." Do the same for Version, And then close out and Run your Last Moon Game Again. If that does not work, Come back to me Again.

Well, the .dll error is a problem with your directx.
That's the thingy that does all the rendering/computing fun stuff with the codes, so it's pretty important.

I'd recommend updating your directx platform, and that usually fixes the problem.
There's a download link on the Download page, the same place that you downloaded the game from.
