I just wanted to ask, since I'm new to the game..
How can I tell which portal leads to where? Where is the shop? How do I get medals (Gold, Silver, etc)? How do I do quests?

To tell what portal leads where, hover your mouse over the green dots on your map at the upper right corner of your screen. The shops are in Bazaar To get medals, kill things, and if they drop broken medals, you can use 2 of them to make a bronze by taking them to the medal shop at Bazaar To do quests, go to the Mission Point map

For finding out where a portal leads, but you can't tell on the mini map, you can go super pro and look into the .world files of Portal Island and type /position until you find the coordinates. Helped me find Firefly Island on my own.
Or, you know, don't be prideful like me and ask someone. ^^
