Whenever I try to enter somewhere like island or oasis, it says something about not being able to find resource, missing oasisterrain.cgf or something like that. I've deleted my version file and ran the game, uninstalled and reinstalled, used alternative links to reinstall, tried to download the thingy under downloads that says to download if your missing files but one stayed on initializing and the other said my PC wasn't compatible (I had an earlier version)
I think I may need a copy of the media file if I'm correct, but other suggestions would be helpful.
-
are you using OpenGL or Direct3D? are you running as administrator?
running as administrator works, and my game works better with Direct3D believe it or not.
and yes, you probably do need a copy of the file. though my game is a bit buggy too, haha, so i suggest asking a staff member to PM it to you.
-
Yup, I use Direct3d. And it didnt work
-
Delete your version.txt . You can find it in the LM folder, by right clicking your LM icon, and clicking 'Open File Location.' In your Last Moon folder you will see a test file named 'version'. Delete that, and then start up LM. This will force LM to update, and most hopefully, install the files it missed out on the first time around.
-
Your game isn't updating properly. Delete version.txt and run the game then post your update.log

Here's the log
-
Is that really all of it since it's missing the important part. But it probably means you have a firewall blocking it.
-
Its exactly the same when run without firewall. I think I really need a copy of the terrain folder .3.
-
http://itup.myzpyz.nu/update/files/media/ all available there, but you should get your updater working instead
-
All right, thanks, and I'll try
-
Its a bit confusing. Its exactly like my files, but they still wont work...
Like in Desert, it only shows Desert.world in both the link and my folder
-
Most of what you need is probably in the Default folder
-
Okay, thanks, I believe it worked :D
-
Okay, you helped a LOT and the missing files are gone, but I've come across a new problem
The desert portal doesnt work, I can just chill in it.
I got this trying to enter island:
OGRE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentityException): Missing option 'PageSize' in TerrainSceneManager::loadConfig at C:\kito\git\sources\dependencies\ogre_src_v1-7-4\PlugIns\OctreeSceneManager\src\OgreTerrainSceneManager.cpp (line 133)
Seeing as there's no way to fix this problem since that link is nonexistent in my computer, I'd like to focus on fixing my updater. Any idea how?
-
Disable your anti virus
-
My antivirus has currently expired and my firewall is completely off
-
Then do what I told you before but include the full error this time. And even if it's expired it can still be messing stuff up
-
My anti-virus has currently expired and my firewall is completely disabled
-
and as I said, expired is not the same as disabled.
You can visit the update page in your browser, but the updater can't do it automatically. Thus it means you have something on your computer that is blocking the updater from accessing and downloading things automatically.
I can't tell you what it is since I don't have access to your computer.
-
I've had this problem before in the LM folder click on update and it should
force an update for you.
Once I did this it worked then after try deleting Version.txt
if that doesn't work check to see if it actually deleted
-
Sorry for repeating what I said, thought it didnt post O-O

Thats the whole error. And I uninstalled it completely. No change
-
I've already told you.. There is something blocking it. Doesn't matter if you reinstall it a million times it'll still be blocked. Have you tried to right click and Run as Administrator?
