Title: Portal problems
Post by: AshyTheWolf on August 11, 2014, 04:44:09 PM
When I try to go into some portals the world never loads. What's wrong with them? Also this should be the last question I ask.

Any idea which portals these are? Where do you go into them from (e.g. Hidden Valley too - )?

I have found Hidden Valley but some of the portals were Desert, Oasis, and Ice. Not sure about the other few. Also I get to them from Portal Island.

Have you checked yet? Sorry if I'm being to hasty about knowing what's wrong with the portals.

Hello there!  :)

I got not exactly the same problem, but some sort of it. I must say that my problem was that some old (original) maps from IT, like Waterfall, Desert, Oasis etc. didn't have their terrain highmaps and files "terrain.cfg", because all of them were in Default map folder, but Default had changed and all of those files were deleted. I had some facilitation, because I have old Impressive Title files and I just copied and added those files to game.

So, I think reinstalling or updating or something like this won't work anyway. I don't know why those important files weren't install.

I can add all those missing files here, if it could help you -
RAR:http://www.mediafire.com/download/o3q74gb6dp2r2pn/terrains.rar (http://www.mediafire.com/download/o3q74gb6dp2r2pn/terrains.rar)
ZIP:http://www.mediafire.com/download/j4ir4z43pri6vo3/terrains.zip (http://www.mediafire.com/download/j4ir4z43pri6vo3/terrains.zip)
You just must copy the folders from file I uploaded and replace those with game folders
(your Last Moon folder>game>media>terrains)

Thank you very much. Ill do it when I have the time. So those files will fix the portal problems?

I think so. The map can start only if you have: NAME.world, NAMEterrain.cfg, NAMEterrain.png, and possibly NAME.material to texture the ground of the map. If you don't have those files of your un-working maps WHEREVER in "terrains" folder, then it will be better if you download uploaded files. :)

Haha, looks like other people had the same issue. Thanks for putting both RaR and Zip (since I use WinRar). Also I just tried it but it didn't load. Did I do something wrong?

Myz had fixed up the crashing maps. Just go to your Last Moon folder and start the game or click 'update' application and fixed maps will download automatically.

But if you really want to download the files... Do you have WinRAR or WinZIP installed on your computer? Because those missing files are packed in .RAR and .ZIP 'file'. Just download WinRAR or WinZIP and download right 'packed file'.

Got everything fixed. I was being stupid and not putting everything into the files. Thanks everyone who helped me. Also, NaoKomis is right about needing WinRaR or WinZip and I just drag everything instead of copying so you could do that also Snickers.
