Please excuse me if there is an answer in this forum for this, I admit that I have little patience in looking for solutions (ironic, as I'm aware I'm asking now for the patience of others)! But, I couldn't find the answer to my riddle.
Allow me to describe my issue in as much detail as possible. Allow me to preface this by saying I have been playing the game perfectly fine for awhile, and without any known changes on my end, the game suddenly stopped entirely. Perhaps a window update, or an update to a driver I am unaware of may be cause of the issue?
In anycase:
1. Attempting to run the game has the black command box opening, as per usual- then there's a very, very brief flash of dialog in the box before it immediately closes. There are no error messages.
2. Running as Administrator does not work.
3. One fix I saw, deleting the version.txt file, does not work.
4. Now as for the DirectX and C++ files, I used the links provided for each in another thread. With DirectX, I got a simple denial stating that I had a version more up to date than the one I was attempting to download. With C++, I will admit I floundered a little as the poster that described what to do once it was downloaded- Well I couldn't understand their meaning faced with what I was looking at. That may be the issue.
5. I have done a clean install over again.
6. I did do a clean install- that means completely removing everything. Including appdata files.
7.I already tried disabling the firewall and other programs that have blocked features before, that is not the issue.
I do hope that someone is willing to help me figure this out, I will attempt to require as little hand-holding as possible xD

Try uninstalling and reinstalling, make sure it's COMPLETELY removed before continuing the installation.

I decided to download OBS and record what happens when the command box pops up and flashes text before closing, so that I could grab a frame clear enough to read it.
This is what it says.
