Title: The first attempt of making a doodad
Post by: SinPrince on July 24, 2016, 08:30:20 PM
Jesus christ you set up a livestream and no one joins huh

enough of that salt, the end result was a mildly good attempt of making a probable head item "Cyber Wing Flare"

//omg why did i post it into my old account's stash RIP

Ultimately, I couldn't find a still head1 without it being rigged for animation. Since I use Sculptris, it didn't like the triangles attacthed to it? yea?

That item would probably lag the hell out of LM.

I just like glows. Why it should lag LM but not DD is beyond me.

I'm talking about triangles. Sculptris has a nasty habit of overcomplicating flat faces into too many triangles and verticles. The cherry trees we have are very laggy due their high verticle count while the relatively low spruce trees are a-ok and there can be many of it without inducing lag. The more of a high poly item are around, the more it will lag the game and crush framerate.

Even when you remesh the item into a lower verticle count, it has a nasty habit of killing details and it is just generally advised to start working from a low poly item first and adding verticles when you work on it further.
