What should happen to the old Last Moon when the new one comes out? (No, it's still far away and there's no set date so don't ask). We've previously said all accounts will be deleted but I'm not so sure any more.
There's basically three alternatives that I see.
1. Shut down the old game and delete everything when the new version comes out.
2. Leave the old server and accounts up so people who don't like the new one can just stick to the old one.
3. Leave Last Moon as it is and release the new version under another name.
Opinions?

Huh. That's an interesting question. Hadn't thought about it. o:
Option number 2 seems like the best of the three because, hey, that's /two/ games that we'd be getting. But it seems almost harsh to ask you to maintain two separate servers. Maybe if you ask for a certain quota of donations to help run it, then it wouldn't be out of the question?

I'm okay with keeping both up, and I'm probably going to be opening some sort of donation page in the future.

I'm not going to be very helpful with making a decision here considering I'm very indecisive as to what I'd fully want to happen myself but
New LM has absolutely /beautiful/ maps and it's stunning to see all of the hard work that's been put into it while Old LM much more people are in favor of the models there than the ones in the alpha version. So looking at it that way, and seeing that you don't mind keeping up both, leaving up the old lm and releasing the new one when it's ready might be the best way to keep everyone on board and happy at the same time.

I'm all for old Last Moon staying open, be it on a permanent or temporary basis. However, siding with the former, you eliminate a number of issues, such as all of the whining about "I lost all my items/shards/presets/etc WHAAAAAA." to put it simply.

Number 2, definitely. It sounds like the most plausible option with less issues. I just feel like putting two things on you at once can cause stress possibly, but so far LM looks great! I can't wait till I can see it improve more C:

I like option 1 best, but I'm guessing I am in the minority on that. XD
I wouldn't want anyone to have to maintain old games just for the sake of idle convenience. Let's rock the new version, and never look back!

I'm leaning a bit towards 3 since it will separate the two completely so it'd be less confusing and would probably lead to an earlier beta since I don't have to worry about having to have enough content and customization. The downside is it'll be more work to maintain two servers and two websites.

I think i have another option, we will give away last moon for some dollars to get the new game up and running, the buyer also has to have much experience with the responsabileties of owning a server correctly without problems. It's just an idea -Spaces

I agree with 2. I think it would be good to keep the old one open as realese the new one just incase people don't like the new one.
