Game is outdated

I downloaded the game on my backup computer (since my main computer is broken) but it wasn't updated. I remembered that when I played Last Moon a week ago the  game was updated on 5/8/2015. Is the download to Last Moon outdated? Or was the update in the game just a mistake? Please help me!!! :'(

Any update indicates that your LM is outdated. Just let the updater do its thing, and then you will be fine ^^

No the game updates wihtout any updater download needed. It takes a while at times so be sure to wait.
If the rendering system box does not appear after it finishes updating make sure it's not your firewall/ antivirus blocking it.

you just need to run lm for the updater to work before the actual game loads. its that black box that appears.

if its not updating, you can try these things: turn off your firewall and load the game, go to the last moon folder and delete version.txt then run the game, or right click the icon and press 'run as administrator'.
