EDIT:
FIXED! For now at least

I should've let it download to its default folder, it didn't compile properly and put everything in the right place/download it all in otherwise :3
I'm leaving this here so anyone with a similar problem can get help.

END OF EDIT
Hi there!
So, I downloaded the first setup of Last Moon from Dropbox and it was taking a while to set up, also it wasn't downloading in a way I'd seen on my computer previously. To avoid any complications I stopped the installation (NOT the setup, it wasn't downloaded yet) and made sure no copies were left on my computer. Then I downloaded from the alternate link and when it was finished downloading I ran the setup. I chose an appropriate folder, but it was not the default suggestion. Afterwards, I installed the setup. What happened next was weird.
As it installed, everything showed as "Skipped -insert file name here-" for the whole installation except for a few small things at the end. It downloaded so fast I didn't catch it all. Then, it said the setup was finished and I clicked on the run Last Moon option.
Nothing happened. There was an icon on my desktop which said Last Moon. I clicked on it and it came up with an error message. Unfortunately I don't have the exact wording, but it said something along the lines of "could not load because last moon.exe could not be found" or something. I tried finding the folder with the game but it wasn't where I put it. Instead it had downloaded somewhere completely different, only a few files were present, one being a last moon file like I saw on my desktop. There was no game.exe that I recall or anything of the sort. I uninstalled the program and tried again.
I reinstalled using the original download, the alternative, but with no success. Each time I uninstalled and cleared out any Last Moon file copies I could find. I checked my computer and I have the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ and I also believe of DirectX. I didn't download the version of DirectX linked to on the download page because it seemed I needed to install Windows 10 which I haven't installed yet and don't know if I will. Do I have to? It appears I already have a good copy of DirectX.
This also happened with Microsoft Visual C++. I couldn't install it because there was a newer version already there.
So what's the problem?
(I tried being as descriptive as possible! Thanks!)
