Can't download game

I tried downloading it first in google chrome and it wouldn't work. I would start up the .exe and it would update and then it would say "the program can't start because d3dx9_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." And another error would pop up saying "Ogre exception. Could not load dynamic library. Specified module could not be found." So I thought, let me see if anyone else has the problem. I looked around and forums said that google chrome doesn't download all of the files. So I tried IE and the same errors appeared. What do I do?

Edit: I've tried the other link and deleted the version.txt as well but it's not working at all. If it doesn't work I'm uninstalling and forgetting this. I'm not wasting another 4 hours of my life on this game. 

Another edit: I've tried downloading the two extra links as well and they won't download on my computer because I either "need an updated computer (I'm using windows 8 so ??)" Or "There is an updated version on the machine."

You said that you downloaded two extra programs, but I'm just assuming you may not have so if you haven't already download the extra links on the Download page. They are DirectX and another Microsoft program, and the links are located underneath the game downloads.

Now since you said that you got a weird message after that, try looking up a copy of DirectX that works for Windows 8

Are you sure you installed the DirectX and C++ programs after you downloaded them? If memory serves correctly, simply downloading it to your computer won't really do anything. And if you did and it still came up with that problem, do what ven said above and try to find a version of the DirectX download (seeing as that's the one that's missing from your computer) that's compatible with windows 8.

I did download them and when I try to install them it won't let me. I checked for a DirectX copy for windows 8 but it apparently is already on my computer, along with C++.

It wouldn't help. This has to do with what Jenxie and Venwolf were talking about.

As for darkgait, I don't know how else to help you. If you had those programs on your computer you wouldn't get those messages. The only thing I can think of is to uninstall the versions you have on your computer currently, and then try and redownload them via our links? Seems like a bit of a redundant idea but that's the best I can come up with

Run and extract the files
Then go to the folder you extracted it to and run DXSETUP
