Same result. The black box shows up, says checking for updates, then disappears and nothing happens.

then I assume you have something else installed that is stopping it from updating. I can't help you since I don't know what it is that does it

You could use something like http://www.httrack.com/ and tell it to download everything from http://itup.myzpyz.nu/update/files/ and put it in your game folder
