The sky was engulfed with beautiful stars that seemed to glow above me. I looked up at these stars and tasted bitterness. I felt pain deep within me. I continued walking through the grassy plain, my eyes closed and my head down.
"You have betrayed me, Starclan... How could you?" I ask, not looking up.
All my life, since I was a kit, seemed to be full of bad luck. When I was only 5 moons old, my parents were teaching me to hunt, but little did I know we were being hunted. I hid under a nearby bush as my mother and father lay bleeding onto the forest grass. The dark creatures that killed my parents were hunters. Cold-blooded killers... I was almost shot by the hunters while making a run for it. Instead, it got my brother, Mud. My sister, Shadow, had to bury him while I was unconscious from shock.
I was without a mother, nor a father. Only a sister. We survived, but I was the one that continued in pain...
When I turned 10 moons old, I joined a group of cats called a "clan." I was pronounced a warrior and named Midnight-pelt. Here, I befriended a tom-cat named Lionheart. He was the clan medicine cat, a position without love. We fell in love. I loved him so much. But soon after I had kits, he left me with some rouge friends and I never saw him again...
My heart was temporarily broken, but I moved on.
After my kits grew up, I left the clan to find peace. I joined other groups of cats along my journey. Along the way, I befriended two cats named Moonpaw & Lionheart It kind of freaked me out, another cat with the same name as my mate, but I ignored it. We started our own group of cats, Falcon-clan. Lionheart became Lionstar and I was named his second-in-command. Moonpaw was named Mooneye, our medicine cat. As our clan grew, my feelings toward Lionstar grew faster. I was in love with him. After awhile, he found out and he said he loved me back. I was thrilled, but a few days later, he said he wasn't interested. My heart felt so much pain, but it broke once more...
After leaving Falcon-clan behind, I came to the forest of Last Moon.
I was finally two years old, but I still felt free. I found new friends along the way, watching some fall in love, which pained me. I started my own wolf pack and I fell for a wolf named Rin. He was mean sometimes, but I knew he had a softer side. That's when I asked my lead hunter, Stryker. He told me that I should tell him my feelings and if he rejected me then I was too good for him. I was deeply touched by these words. I decided after that conversation that I loved not Rin, but Stryker. I finally told him my true feelings and he said he felt the same way. I loved him more than anyone and he loved me the same. We spent all time we could musk to be together. I felt whole, I felt complete... But then, he mysteriously disappeared and I miss him so much to this day.
I thought about these memories, I snarled and glared up at Silver-pelt. "You! You took my family away! You took Lionheart away from me, you brought Lionstar to me so he could reject me and you took the one that actually loved me away! Why must you hate me!?" I roared in sudden anger.
I would never pray to Starclan or Lupus, they are no longer my gods. I would live without something to pray to. I'm done. I was broken for the last time.
I wish I were dead, because I already am inside...
