Forum Help / Re: How many pictures per signature?
« on: March 04, 2015, 09:22:20 AM »
Well since the admins broke this rule, they cannot enforce it. I believe the idea behind the one pic on your signature rule is that people don't spam posts with their signatures. It is more important that someone can read the forum easily without having to download tonnes of pictures and stuff that you think is important to put in your signature. So having 2 or 3 small pics won't cause anyone to rage at you, keep it sensible and it will be fine.

Game Help / Re: Banning
« on: March 03, 2015, 07:49:20 AM »
If it was the glitch you would be able to log in directly again, it has happened to me many times so this does not sound like the ban glitch. Please PM Myz or RakshaWw. No one can help you with this other than a staff member (most likely only them).

To download or to start up? Download is slow yes (it's a big game), but game start up is very fast compared to other games I play.

The pet system will have to be changed then first  :(

Currently only one pet per char, so if your pet already has a char you will not be able to collect your pet from drops which will be sad...

Nice idea though.

I might be going crazy here but I'm sure you were the one who invited me to  group called Derp Academy, after the invite I never heard about the group again and slowly lost interest in talking to people on LM.

Now my connection is too unstable at home to stay online for more than a few minutes so I'm currently playing other games.

I think Myz's idea is the best. Take all the game suggestions and just go read up on them.

Contrary to the name Guild Wars 2 (it is a reference to the previous game and the history that shaped the world) does not require you to be part of a guild. It is more of a social group which allows you to easily get access to people if you need company or help with something. You can play almost the whole game on your own and if you don't want to pick up a guild you can use the lfg (looking for group) system to pick up a quick party for quests that require a group. It has a persistent world (the game is constantly changing). There is a bunch of events that are on a cycle but then others that follow the Living Story that causes the world map to change permanently and those events are accessible for only a certain period of time.

The game has tonnes of casual players and gear and loot is easy to come by (just some smart gaming required). You can customize your character (height, weight, face type, hair, ens) after choosing from 5 different races. There is lots of different armours and weapons and since the skin update you collect skins and then can reapply them easily to a new weapon or armour received. You can also redye all your armour pieces (sadly no weapons and you have to use gold to redesign your character)

Hehe, I wrote too much now, but it helps you to get an idea of what gw2 is and if it is a game you can consider. I fell in love with it because it is a really visually appealing game with realistic combat and cool races (not your normal elf, orc, dwarf types)

I play Guild Wars 2. It is about $40 (they were having a half price sale a while ago, maybe it is still on) once off and then you can play as much as you want. They are brining out a new expansion this year but there will still be tonnes of stuff to keep you busy with before the year is over.

Comment on #5, you can minimize the game. You have to switch your rendering system to windowed mode. Go read the tutorial 'Dear Noobs' it gives helpful tips about the game.

Game Help / Re: Making preset items

Thanks for the reply, I would never have called it a private item because it refers to then only you being able to see it. Thanks for informing me on the terminology.

Game Help / Making preset items
« on: February 11, 2015, 08:28:12 AM »
I am really confused now after a couple of posts I read from the staff team.

Is a member allowed to create preset items for a specific preset to be put in game by staff?

Whenever I referred to importing an item in any post on this forum, I meant importing it through the preset campaign file for testing and then getting a staff member to add it to the game for your specific preset when preset submissions are open. Is this not allowed?

Please can someone clear up this for me? I am not interested in modding any files or adding any items without clear permission from a staff member.

I'm sure you are allowed to use a free UV and coding to import an object. Just no steeling other peoples item models or modding items in game to suite your needs.
