So when I open Last Moon by the desktop icon, it always updates!

I know it says this is supposed to happen, but I've attempted twice to open it. Both those two times, it opened Last Moon and finished updating, but when I clicked a button it stopped responding. Now, whenever I try to open it, it takes hours to update again, and says 'Version: 0' at the top of the black box.
Plus, when I try opening it by my documents, it says 'You have to launch the game with LastMoon.exe'

Can someone help me?

Have you tried deleting version.txt, right clicking your LM desktop icon and ran as administrator?
The "You have to launch the game with LastMoon.exe" means you're opening the wrong file, the one to run is not in 'game' but in 'Last Moon'.
