cant type in chat

Ok , whenever i press Ctrl or Alt i cant type in chat. It was fine yesterday and only started last night!!  Its really frustrating , also , whenever i cant type in chat if i press shift i get stuck in crouch or something like that.

Then don't press Ctrl or Alt when trying to type in the chat? The Ctrl option is for crouching, so you'd obviously crouch and if you did it while trying to type, the game still thinks you're crouching. Just press Ctrl and/or Alt again to undo its effects.

thats my problem. im not in chat mode but it still does it. and i press it again to fix it but it doesn't do anything , i have to quit to fix it.
