Um, just a quick question, can you make presets for deer models or not? Here are some screenshots of my latest preset, I'm not done putting the colours in. Maybe someone can help me...

Yes you can, you just have to find the body number for the deer. Code for a deer that will look like your current character Rudolph is:

Unit_Create=PLAYER,Unit,Body13,Head29,Mane32,Tail24,Wings4,PS_RudolphMat,Tuftless

(You enter this into the Preset.campaign file when you want to test your deer in game.)

I see you have 2 body images you are editing. You have to choose one you want to use. Body2Tex allows for non-uniform bodies, whereas BodyTex copies your characters left and right too look the same (like a butterfly's wings).

I recommend you looking at the other preset textures for a guide to how to colour the Tex files. Currently your eyes are in the wrong slots, the top slot is for eyelids, second slot is eyelashes (lines), third is for the 'whites' of the eye and last is the iris and pupil.

With your material file (PS_Rudolph) it seems you are on the right track, you just have to change all the words Character to your character name (Rudolph). Just search for the word Character in the document and replace all of them with Rudolph.

next time just copy and paste the contents of the files here, saves a lot of loading time for myself and other people

adding onto bella, i suggest you fill in all the character spaces even if you're not using the body part e.g. wings

i dont think you've saved your PS_Rudolph as a .material file either. open the file, press save as, press 'All files' under 'Save file as' and type .MATERIAL at the end of the file name, which is PS_Rudolph in your case e.g: PS_Rudolph.MATERIAL

What is the error it's giving you? If anything, try saving it as a .txt then changing the extension to .material, works wonders for me while making particle materials.

Make sure your completely removing the name of the document then re-typing. Example:
blah.txt -> blah.material

Nope, those stay as what you have them as. Only the actual script file needs to be .material

Theres still a coding error somewhere, copy and paste the contents of your .MATERIAL and your preset.campaign file.

if every thing is OK with them I'll upload on mediafire a .MATERIAL version of your character scripts so it works for sure
