please help!!

ok so i downloaded last moon, and waited about an hour for it to finish, then i installed it. i clicked run and the game showed up on my desktop,  so i of course clicked it. the screen showed up and it said: checking for new updates. as it was going through the updates, i had to take the dog outside. when i came in a message on my screen showed up and said: this file is missing (i don't remember the file name but it started with a lower case d.) then i clicked ok on it and another message about OGRE came up. so i double clicked the last moon icon and it said checking for new updates. then it closed itself out! i waited an hour then came back and it still did the same thing. can someone help me please?

Try deleting your version.txt file in 'Last Moon' and then run the game.

forget it, my mother won't let me. ugh! i'm so sick of it she thinks everything will give the computer a virus.

There is nothing to be afraid of on Last Moon.
The black box that pops up is the automatic updater that we have, what I think your problem is is that you're missing some files = crashing.

hmm okay it might have been the internet because it failed once then the next day it took an hour to download..... i'm going to try it at my grandmas house and see if it works. btw whats the mirror thing mean?

The Mirror download is only for when the official download does not work.

i'm sorry but its not solved. i downloaded the game and everything works fine! but when it says checking for updates, it does that and then at a certain point it stops completely! it says this: 80KB and then it just stops. i guess i'll never be able to play LM plz help!

Leaving it some time update would be handy.

Look up on google how to disable your firewall, then continue to update. Or, you could try right-clicking the LM desktop icon and press 'Run as administrator'.

its okay i don't need last moon, and this is the last time i tried that and running it as administrator still doesn't work. but that's okay i got Minecraft instead, and happy wars. but our computer is kind of weird because someone put a thing in the software and now the computer crashes and lags and is kinda rude at times. so no matter what i try it won't work and my rude brother uninstalled it and told a lie to my mom and now she said i cant get any game on the computer but my brother can download music when i cant. :I so you wont see me on last moon for a couple years when i get my own computer. sorry

but i have an idea. i have the setup from a while ago and I'm going to do that and later do the 'run as administrator' thing
