Game Help / Help a Noob Out?

So, I'm brand new to Last Moon and I've got a couple of questions:
1- When I try to do the tutorial, the game freezes, doesn't respond and then crashes, I can play multiplayer relatively without hassle.
2- How do I join a server/map?
3- What are the green circles on my minimap?
Sorry if I've missed reading something (though I've looked through the forums) though if this is covered in the tutorial obviously I can't see
