Bugs & Glitches / Game.exe has stopped working

I'm new to last moon, never played it before, this is my first time downloading it. I choose the alternative download option because a friend of mine suggested it. I download the game, it seems like it's working fine, the OGRE thing pops up, I choose a random subsystem rendering thingy. It starts to do what appears to be a loading screen that says "parsing scripts." It fully loads and then this message appears"Game.exe has stopped working."I thought "Oh, maybe I should try again." I try to open it again, same message appears. I then realize I wasn't registered yet and then did that and re-downloaded the game, the same message appears. I try to look up something similar to the problem but either the people with the problem have been playing the game for a while or have been able to open the game getting past the loading screen and then the message appears. I'm sure you've probably gotten questions like this thousands of times but I can't seem to find something like my specific problem.
